Another disappointing day out for the Blues as the Dockers hand us a 49 point defeat.
We started the game very well, our pressure was fantastic but we couldn’t capitalise on the scoreboard when we had the chance to put them away early on.
To Burnie’s credit, they worked themselves back into the game with their run off half back and work up forward.
Zac Oldenhof had another fantastic game and has really taken the next step this season. We had another debutant this week, with Shaughan Killalea making his first senior appearance for the Blues.
Joe Groenewegen was also fantastic, picking up a vote in the RACT Player of the Year for his hard work throughout the day, battling hard with Burnie ruckman Jason Laycock.
It doesn’t get any easier this week, as we travel for the first time this season, heading down to KGV to take on top of the table Glenorchy.
