On Saturday the 31st of May, the Launceston Football Club held its 2nd Ladies (Pink Day), this year raising funds for Ange Sanders who rode from Sydney to Hobart for Tour De Cure.

It was a huge success once again, this year raising over $3000.00 to go towards finding a cure for cancer!

The day would not have been a success without the help of some hard working volunteers.

A big thank you to Kerry Finch for hosting the day, the ladies in the kitchen for a fantastic meal. Rob Miller and Richard Vimpany for keeping the drinks up to the ladies! Tina and Dane Waldron and Lindy Conway for all your help and support.

I have to also give a special mention to five boys from the U14 team who worked all day helping set up, serving meals, selling margin tickets, walking around the ground collecting money and doing whatever I asked, thanks Ethan Conway, Miller Hodge, Tyson Miller, Cameron Curtis and Jakob Boyd.

Thanks again for everyone who attended it was a great success we had a lot of laughs and a few tears, with the releasing of the balloons at half time a special moment for everyone.

Hope to see you all again next year!

Cheers, Mel Hodge 🙂
