What do you get when you cross a delicious fruit with an elite left foot football star?
The loveable clubman, Jay Blackberry, is stepping into rare territory, becoming just the second player to pull on the boots 200 times in TSL history when he runs out on Saturday. Being that the other is arguably the best player to bless the TSL field in the past decade, one Jaye Bowden, Blackberry is nothing short of a superstar of the competition. A credit to not only his talent, the 28 year old’s longevity hasn’t been without an unsteady chapter. The gun midfielder tore his ACL in 2018 which could threaten many a career, but true to his work ethic and determined character, Jay has bounced back in style. What he lacks in height, the former Blue captain oozes with class, cleanliness below his knees, an uncanny knack of finding the big sticks and all round leadership. It’s a pleasure to have this legend representing our proud club and with great honour we salute him on a special occasion.
