Back again with some signings for the 2025 season.

Young talent Seth Pfeiffer will be heading into his 3rd season of senior football after playing in multiple positions the last couple seasons, Seth found himself playing his best footy across the backline. Seth has elite athleticism and we are excited to see him keep developing and become a great senior player for the club for many years to come. Seth is a very teachable kid who wants to improve and is a very likeable player among the group.

The Football Club would also like to welcome back former Vice captain Ryan Tyrrell after a year at Bridgenorth. Having played around 120 senior games for the club and closing in on Life Membership, Ryan’s first game was in 2015 as a 16 year old. He was an important part of our recent Premierships and he is keen to add to his already impressive football resume. Ryan has played multiple positions over the years and is happy to do what is needed to help the team win. We look forward to seeing him back in the Navy blue.

“Wrapped to have the commitment from these two boys down at Windsor Park for what we hope to be an exciting season in a new competition. Seth has plenty of upside to his game and I’m looking forward to working closely with him and watch him develop into a really good player. Obviously Ryan is one of my best mates and to be playing with him again where we debuted together is pretty special, his leadership and the way he sees the game of football is something that will be super beneficial for the group. “

With many new and returning faces to the club, it’s great to see our young boys working together once a week to build friendships and fitness in November.

Preseason training for our Men’s program commences Monday 2 December 2024. If you’re interested in joining us for our 150th year, please send us a message 💙

Women’s 2025 pre-season training starts Tuesday 5 November 2024!

Meet at changeroom 5/6 opposite the LFC clubrooms at 5:45pm, training starts at 6pm. Please follow all construction signage at Windsor Park.

All past and interested women’s players welcome to join us in getting ready for next season, each Tuesday and Thursday until Thursday 12 December 2024. Please bring runners, football boots and a drink bottle 💙

The Launceston Football Club would like to announce the return of two absolute stars of the competition. ⭐️⭐️

One being the reigning NTFA Premier League leading goal kicker Archie Wilkinson. Archie returns to the Blues after spending the last 3 years at Hillwood where he has became one of, if not the best big man in the competition, making team of the years, playing in Grand Finals and kicking plenty of snags!
Archie is a Launceston junior and is excited to get back to where his football journey started and progress his football at a higher level.

The other is two time Premiership player Zac Morris. ‘Morry’ has spent the last two seasons being involved in VFL & SANFL programs. He finished last season with Longford where he made the team of the year from only 7 games and was a key piece in there Grand Final team.
Zac is one of the most versatile players in the competition and is always happy to do what is best for the team to win, he is after some more team success as well as his own personal ambitions!

“ These two boys were obviously high on my list of recruits. Not just because the caliber of player they are, but also the type of person they are, both ripper kids who are under 22 years old with a lot of good football in front of them. Both boys are in the initial senior state squad and it is something I’m looking forward to working with them through to assist in anyway I can. They are from here originally and they tick every box of what we are after”

Back again with more signings for 2025 ✅

The Launceston Football Club would like to welcome brothers Ryan & Jordan Shipp back to the blues. 💙

After spending this year at Bridgenorth where both boys had excellent seasons seeing Jordan make his senior football debut the boys are returning home.

Coming through the ranks of our juniors through to our senior program these boys are no stranger to Windsor Park.
Ryan having played his senior debut for the club in 2023, while Jordan has played U/18s and in our Development League sides.
The two of them have silky skills and can both play at either end of the ground showing off their versatility.

“ To get these two back in blue is very important for the club moving forward not just next year but in many years to come as well, both being under 21 and already having tasted senior football is something that should excite everyone as they should both hopefully have long and successful careers.”

The blues with more exciting news‼️‼️

The Launceston football club would like to welcome back 2 stars back to Windsor park.

One needing not much of an introduction, Jackson Thurlow returns after having the last two seasons away from football after starting a family with his wife Laura.
Jacko has obviously played at the highest level and the wealth of knowledge, along with his playing ability will be a huge benefit to the club and what we are looking to achieve.
We would like to welcome Jackson and his family back to the blues. 💙

The other is Jacob Boyd, a Launceston junior who worked his way through the ranks playing representative football for the state in the U/16 & U18s programs and obviously being apart of our three flags in 20, 21 and 22.
Boydy has spent the last 2 seasons at hillwood where he has been one of the NTFAs premier rebounding defenders.

“To get these two blokes back to the club is huge for us, both boys grew up down here and have been involved in some very successful eras and to have them wanting to come and get involved and get the club back to where it needs to be is awesome and something as a coach I’m very excited about”.

The Launceston Football Club is pleased to announce Kurt Wheeler as our U18’s coach for 2025.

After starting in our junior coaching ranks, Kurt progressed to take the reigns in the U18’s space in 2022 and for the past two years has been guiding our Development League players in preparation for Senior football. A return to the U18’s is something Kurt is very much looking forward to, and he already has excitement building amongst the group.

“I am looking forward to getting back to where I started in the Senior club and helping develop our future senior players.”

We’re thrilled with this appointment and looking forward to Kurt’s continued development of our future Blues 💙

Two more sign on for the Blues 💙💙

The club would like to welcome Angus Jeffries to Windsor Park.
After spending the last 2 seasons at Hillwood ‘Gus’ has became a really dangerous player and is looking to further develop his football and play a high standard of football. Being only 22 and having good relationships already established with the playing group he will fit in seamlessly. A fit hard running mid who can play both inside at out he is sure one to watch in 2025 and beyond.

The other one joining us is crowd favourite Jayden “Juice” Hinds. 🧃
He joins us after a stellar year at Bridgenorth taking his game to another level while plying a midfield role.
A two time premiership player for the blues he is keen to add more to his resume and help the club achieve that in any way he can.
A fierce competitor and someone who will really drive the standards on and off field we look forward to seeing him back in the navy blue. 💙

More exciting news out of Windsor park with a core group of our senior list re-signing for 2025.

The club sees that this group of young men are a big part of our future and what we hope to build over the coming seasons. After having played 2+ years of senior state league football this group has matured and are ready to take that next step and help the club get back to where it belongs.

“ Before taking over as senior coach I knew I had to keep this core group to stick around together because they are such a good young group of lads who are only just starting to scratch the surface of their potential. They want to learn and improve themselves and most importantly they want to win so as a coach you can’t ask for much more”

Looking forward to seeing these young men back in blue for 2025. 💙

The Launceston Football Club would like to welcome Dylan Farquhar to the Blues.

Farqs is a 20yo with untapped potential and someone with strong ambitions with his football career. A Ruckman who can also push forward, be dangerous and hit the scoreboard are hard to come by and Dylan does that well with his athletic attributes.

He has a lot of mates down here already and is in that age bracket of players we want to come in and top up our list. We look forward to having Dylan run around in the navy blue in 2025 and beyond. 💙

We would also like to welcome back Miller Hodge to the Blues after a year at Bracknell and a year off football.

Miller is a Launceston junior product who came through the ranks being part of our 2020 & 2021 Premiership sides.
Miller has a strong work ethic and his training standards and professionalism will be good for our young list moving forward. He is also a natural leader as he has been vice captain of the club previously.

We look forward to having Miller and his family back on board at the Mighty Blues. 💙

The Launceston Football Club is pleased to welcome back Premiership coach Ashley Smith as our Senior Women’s Coach for 2025 🎉

Ash coached the NTFA Women’s representative team in 2024 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the club.

A huge thank you to Ivo Agostini who has been leading our Women’s program. His passion and drive is unwavering. He’ll continue to support the team next year.

Unfortunately none of our draftees were able to join us in person, but lucky we were able to source the next best thing!
